Want to have your voice heard? Help determine the future of public transportation in Durham!
Durham County is developing a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Vision Plan to examine corridor improvements and service investments to create a comprehensive network of high-capacity transit services across Durham County. The Plan will identify a potential network of BRT routes that will enhance connectivity in Durham and provide fast and reliable connections to key destinations across the greater Triangle Region.
During the development of the plan, Durham County will actively engage with the public through a variety of engaging and interactive virtual and in-person events. Additionally, the County will coordinate with regional stakeholders and major partners, including the City of Durham, GoTriangle, Triangle West TPO and NCDOT to ensure a cohesive BRT vision.
The Durham BRT Vision Plan is being developed in coordination with the Central Durham BRT Project, a 5-mile corridor already identified for BRT improvements running from the Duke VA Medical Center to Downtown Durham to the Village. The Durham BRT Vision Plan will identify additional corridors for BRT investment over the next 30 years.
